last week internship

I was not able to go because my moms truck was not working and I did not have a ride. I did not have my suppervisors number so I wasn't able to call her. I was going to make it up by going on Friday but Tracy my supporvisor did not pick up and I did not know what time it would open and close. Next time I will make sure that I have her number if she still wants me to go.

communications

Three types of written communications are e-mails, text messeging and newspaper. A barrier that comes with text messages and e-mails is that you won't be sure if the person that texted you is mad at you when they might not because of the punctuation. A barrier that comes wih newspapers is that the layouts may be confusing. Three types of verbal communications would be on the phone, in person and on radio. All of these have one common barrier which is that you wont be able to understand the person that is talking because they may talk in an accent, or to fast. Tree types of non-verbal communication are eye contact and hairstyle and clothing. A barrier for eye contact would be that they may think that you are guilty or lying if you dont look at them in the eyes. A barrier for hairstlys and clothing may be that they may judge you before they know you. I think that I am not perfect in my communication skills, but I dont think that i communicate diffrently with anyone other than April because she is my baby. I think that I could improve on my proper language.

Career exploration

No my internship is not what the GA collage 411 told me i would like according to my personalaty. My personalaty type is artistic and creative, but my internship has to do with Science and desk work. I think that it will be hard to be an actor because I am in a small town, and it will be hard for me to be put in the top industries. Last week my possitive exeriances were to help people out by helping them remmember to take there diabetes test. My negative experiance was to file folders because it was not creative at all. I look foward to being more indepandant later on becuase the suporviser does not trust me enough to let me do some more interesting work because she does not know me very well yet.

Internship last tuesday

Last Wensday I think i went from 1 till 3 in the afternoon. Tracy my supporviser had told me last Tuesday what I was sopposed to do while she was not there, which was to file folders and to file papers and to organize the desk. Since she was buzy I did these task, and some other volunteers had me calling hispanics because I speak spanish. At first it was really boring now it that I understand that it is to help people out I feel good. My internship is getting better every week.

my cell phone ettique

I took the survey quiz on my cell phone etiquette, and I knew my some, but did not practice them. Some times I know when is the least time to take a call. I love text messaging in the places other than school, because it is quiet and not rude unless it is a loud ringtone.
Other than that I dont think that it is rude to use the phone, and also I am one of the type of person that does not use the phone in the bathroom.
